Basic Course In Foot Reflexology

( 20 classes, 2 hours each = 40 contact hours)

Prerequisites:  Student willingness to work fellow student's feet

Tuition: $460.00 (textbook included)

Theory  (4 Contact Hours)

  • Orientation and Introduction  -- This section will explore the basics that the student will be expected to learn during these 20 classes.

  • History and Zone Therapy Theory.

  • Principle of Pattern Discrimination.

  • Compression Massage versus Vitaflex methods.

  • Emotional components of illness as reflected in the feet.

  • Establishing a Compendium of Indication.

  • Acid-Base-Balance.  

Techniques  (22  Contact Hours)

  • Introduction to Foot Reflexology -- Location of reflexes

  • Precautions

  • Points contraindicated during pregnancy.

  • The glands and hormones.

  • The organs

  • The nerves and spine

  • The muscles and ligaments

  • Congestion/Colds/Sinus

  • Fatigue/Go Power/Prevention Therapy

  • Treating Mental Health Conditions

  • Adding another dimension with Essential oils and Herbal soaks.

Practical  (12 Contact Hours) --In-class treatments

  • Hand and Scalp reflexology

  • Putting it all together-- Beginning with the 4th class, hands on practice will be a part of every class. Each participant will receive a Kirlian (energy) photograph of their hands and feet during the fourth and twentieth classes.

  • Case Histories, Business Considerations/Consents and Permits

Review (2 Contact Hours)

An hour review will be followed by an hour of hands on testing. Those who pass will receive a Certificate in Foot Reflexology and approval to apply for Diploma status in the NBDRfx Exam.
